Newcastle upon Tyne is often called just Newcastle, and is a city in the county of Tyne and Wear which is in the North of East England.

The airport is located 10 miles to the north west of the city and is easily accessible by road and rail from the city.

The airport is the biggest in the region and has one terminal but carries over five million passengers a year and flys to over 80 destinations worldwide.
